I was a backseat passenger involved in a car accident a while back. car ran a red light and hit us, the police questioned me, the driver and another passenger from our vehicle, we were out there for almost 5 hours. I went to the set court date, and out of evwryone that was involved in the accident, i was the only one to showed up. And so the Judge held me accountable. I did community service, also paid $300. Well almost a year later I I applied and got a job for the state, and then a warrant came up on my background check for that stupid car accident and I got rejected!

I just received a letter from this court from Belen, NM, saying that they have a bench warrant for my arrest, that my driver's license will be suspended, and that they may take my tax return money. The problem is I have not been in New Mexico for over 25 years and the amount of money the say I owe is $155.00 I've had no arrests, speeding tickets, nor have I broken any laws in the past 25 years. I'm a successful businessman in Port Orchard, WA and have purchased a home, where I have lived for over 20 years. I have a good friend in law enforcement and he checked and assured me that my driver's license in not suspended and that I show no warrants. I just came home from a hard week of running a business and 3 trips to see my Dr. for back surgery issues. So relieved to have a 3 day weekend, ONLY TO OPEN THIS LETTER! I don't think this is right and now I have to wait until Tuesday to speak to my attorney about what ever this actually is (the letter doesn't say). "$155 bucks from over 25 years ago?! Make it a great holiday folks. :-)

I would give no stars if i could. The clerks are very rude instead of helping they give a attitude and make you seem like you are beneath them
